The Light of Friendship

We were as different as night and day, like two ships
that pass in the night

Yet our hearts and souls connected once and
created their own special light

A beacon of friendship that's guided us throughout
the course of our days

Tho' we followed different plans and paths,
each going our separate ways

As we sailed the changing seas of life
- alone - we were always together

To share our great accomplishments and
to brave the stormy weather

The years have seen us grow, my friend
and our seas now flow into one

Drawing us closer than we've ever been
- the best of our friendship to come
